Euphoria: Fans theorize about a major death after another dark episode
The latest episode of Euphoria dealt was dangerously dark and left fans in a state of shock. So let's take a deep breath and try to unpick this mess.
Episode six of the HBO Max series showed just how dark things are going to get going forward.
For some time it was apparent that this whole season would get wild, and this latest episode is actually the first not to show any frontal-nudity.
Yet A Thousand Little Trees of Blood still left fans traumatized after one very twisted scene.
Jacob Elordi's Nate torments his ex-girlfriend Maddy, played by Alexa Demie, into giving him back his father's sex tape.
But it's the way he does it that really hits hard: playing Russian Roulette with a gun to his head while laying on top of her.
The entire sequence is deeply disturbing, with Nate sneaking into her room, waiting for her with his gun positioned, and silently watching her undress before she becomes aware of his presence.
The horrific scene that was on all accounts the most shocking on the show to date, with no indication of the plot mellowing.
Fans speculate that Fez may die in the next episode
Fans will probably need more time to recover from the emotionally-weighted episodes.
But don't take too much time, as there are only two episodes left in the series and previews are already teasing a dark fate for a major character.
So far, the majority of the main cast are in terrible situations, ranging from Zendaya's Rue still owing her drug dealer money to Sydney Sweeney's Cassie leaving her home after trying to harm herself with a corkscrew.
It's safe to say that at this point anybody could end up badly. For many on Twitter, the best bet seems to be Fez, played Angus Cloud. The local drug dealer is, unbeknownst to him, apparently going to get ratted out, which could land him in jail – or worse.
Yet the very idea that this could happen sent fans into a full-blown panic, as the former minor character has now become a fan favorite.
"IF ANYTHING BAD HAPPENS TO FEZ AND HE MISSES LEXIS PLAY I AM LITERALLY QUITTING," one user scream-tweeted.
Another also went for the all-caps cry of anguish: "SWEAR SAM LEVINSON IF IN THE NEXT EPISODE FEZ DOESN’T MAKE IT TO WATCH LEXIS PLAY YOU BETTER SLEEP WITH BOTH EYES OPEN."
Since the first episode, Fez's trolling has been incredibly refreshing thanks to his budding romance with Lexi, played by Maude Apatow – #Fexi!
There's also a change that Maddie could get revenge on Nate for his misdeeds – and to be honest, nobody would be upset with this.
Only two episodes are left in HBO Max's Euphoria.
