WandaVision spin-off is in the works at Marvel Studios
Burbank, California - WandaVision fans, rejoice! A spin-off to the hit Disney+ show is reportedly in the works at Marvel Studios.
The finale of WandaVision revealed that the original Vision, who died in Avengers: Infinity War, had been reassembled into White Vision and had lost his memories of his previous life.
The spin-off series, which will be titled Vision Quest, will pick up where the miniseries left off as Vision attempts to regain his memories and his sense of humanity.
Per Deadline, Paul Bettany is set to return as the titular android, with WandaVision creator Jac Schaeffer on board as well.
Writing on the series is reportedly set to begin next week.
Marvel Studios is slowly unveiling plans for WandaVision's ensemble
WandaVision was the MCU's first venture into television, and many were wary of its eccentric premise, which saw the recreation of iconic sitcoms from past decades.
The series proved any doubters wrong. Scoring 23 Emmy nominations, WandaVision gave the MCU further creditability with immense praise from critics.
Another spin-off to the series is already in the works at Marvel Studios. Agatha: Coven of Chaos, which will mark the return of Kathryn Hahn as Agatha Harkness, was confirmed last fall. Production on the spin-off is set to begin next month.
Though fans are overjoyed with the planned spin-offs, some have lamented the lack of news regarding Wanda's future in the MCU.
However, Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige has all but confirmed that her story is not over in the MCU.
