Michael Gandolfini is hopping on the Marvel bandwagon!
Burbank, California - Michael Gandolfini is set to join the devil of Hell's Kitchen in the upcoming Marvel Disney+ series, Daredevil: Born Again.
The new show will be a reboot of the Netflix series Daredevil, which aired for three seasons from 2015 to 2018.
Gandolfini's character in the series has not yet been revealed, but Deadline reported that he will have a "major role" on the show.
The 23-year-old has previously starred in the films Ocean's 8 and Cherry. He also portrayed a younger version of his late father James Gandolfini's iconic character Tony Soprano in The Many Saints of Newark, a prequel series to The Sopranos.
Gandolfini will be joined in the Marvel revival by Charlie Cox, who will reprise his role as the titular vigilante in the new series.
Cox has made two other appearances as Matt Murdock outside of his Netflix run, with cameos in Spider-Man: No Way Home and She-Hulk. Vincent D'Onofrio, who plays the villainous Wilson Fisk, is also confirmed to be returning for the Daredevil reboot.
Daredevil: Born Again, which will be part of the MCU's fifth phase, is set to become the longest Disney+ series within the franchise so far – with 18 planned episodes.
The new series will premiere exclusively on Disney+ in Spring 2024.
