It can't be stressed enough just how much of a rocky start Phase Four got off to.
Yet it seems the next two phases may restore the MCU to its former glory, especially with few new details spilled at the expo.
Regarding Secret Invasion, Feige presented the first trailer for 2023 series that will bring back former S.H.I.E.L.D agents Nick Fury and Maria Hill.
Jackson will reprise his role as the hot-tempered agent who, in the new trailer, is seen as a shell of the man he once was. Cobie Smulders will also return as Hill but the show will also have a few more surprising faces going its ensemble cast.
Emilia Clarke, Christopher McDonald, and Carmen Ejogo were also seen in the trailer in undisclosed roles.
The Marvel head also dished more on Phase 5, beginning with Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania, which will properly introduce the MCU's next iconic villain – Kang, played by Jonathan Majors.
Paul Rudd, who plays the sometimes pint-sized hero Scott Lang, reportedly joined Feige on stage and teased the February 2023 movie will be "bananas."
"This is going to be unlike anything you’ve seen from us and not to mention that guy," he said, referring to Majors who was also present, "throws this whole thing into such new territory."
Color us excited!
Lastly, Ryan Coogler showed the lucky attendees new clips from the Black Panther sequel, including a scene in which Angela Bassett's Queen Ramonda deals with the fallout of the T'Challa's death and the United Nations trying to steal Wakanda's coveted vibranium.
These are just a few tantalizing treats that Marvel fans have to look forward to in the next two phases!
