Aubrey Plaza is set to join the MCU in a mystery role!
Burbank, California - The Marvel Cinematic Universe has added yet another impressive name to its roster as Aubrey Plaza will be making her debut in the franchise!
The 38-year-old, known for her work in Parks and Recreation and Ingrid Goes West, is set to join the cast of Agatha: Coven of Chaos, a spin-off to the hit MCU miniseries WandaVision
Plot details of the spin-off remain under wraps, but WandaVision stars Kathryn Hahn and Emma Caulfield Ford have both been confirmed to be returning.
On Tuesday, it emerged that Heartstopper star Joe Locke would be making his MCU debut in Coven of Chaos as well. As is the case with Plaza, his specific role in the series has not been revealed.
According to Deadline, current rumors suggest Plaza will play the TV show's villain. This wouldn't be her first experience as a Marvel baddie, having played Lenore "Lenny" Busker in the FX series Legion.
Another WandaVision spin-off, Vision Quest, is also in the works at Marvel Studios. The series will mark the return of Paul Bettany as Vision, with the plot rumored to focus on the character's quest to regain his memories after the events of WandaVision.
Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige has announced a winter 2023 release for Coven of Chaos on Disney+.
