Miami, Florida – In a TikTok series, a woman named Darly explains how one selfish person chose to announce a pregnancy during the funeral of her baby girl.

Of course, a positive pregnancy test is something you'd like to share with everyone – but there's always a time and a place for that.

In a video series on her TikTok channel, a Miami woman named Darly shared how a long-time friend chose the absolute worst moment to announce her pregnancy.

Darly explains how her decades-long friendship with an unnamed woman was primarily one sided, and how her friend was constantly copying everything she did. This included allegedly marrying a random man when Darly found love, and even trying hard to get pregnant when Darly found herself expecting.

After years of supporting her friend, Darly wanted to pull away because she couldn't understand how her friend could continue to copy her – especially without offering any support during Darly's crisis.

Darly's daughter was born severely pre-mature and was in the hospital for almost 300 days; yet her friend never once paid the family a visit or even asked about the baby.

Nevertheless, the friend was shocked and offended to learn that Darly had not named her the baby's godmother, even though she had not been an active part of the newborn's life at any point. Sadly, Darly's daughter passed away not long after, and her friend promised to come "take care of her" before the funeral. The friend didn't show up until the day of the funeral – and not until after it had already begun.

The years of strained friendship came to an abrupt climax. Darly recounted the critical moment in the first clip, saying, "I still think about how a 'friend' announced her pregnancy at my daughter's funeral."

"Her daughter was due in August and the funeral was in January," Darly said, realizing later that her friend was just two months along at the time. She described how when her friend arrived late, she drew attention to herself immediately by continuously rubbing her flat belly. When the funeral guests ignored her, she began to dry heave and gag just so she could finally be asked if she was pregnant.

"And she's like, 'Yeah, I'm having a baby,' and I'm like, 'Wow, you're doing that now when I'm just burying my daughter,'" Darly remembered.

Needless to say, Darly has since cut the woman out of her life.

Incidentally, Darly herself was pregnant with a boy at the time of the funeral, but kept the news to herself, feeling that the day belonged solely to the memory of her late daughter.
