MSC Seashore accident leads to death as teen falls from cruise ship
Miami, Florida - A 15-year-old passenger was killed in a heartbreaking accident onboard the MSC Seashore cruise ship this week.
Multiple news outlets report that the incident occurred on Wednesday, when the MSC Seashore was returning to the port of Miami on its final night of a five-day cruise to the Caribbean.
According to witnesses, the teenager fell from the 16th deck at around 7:30 PM EST, and the ship's staff were immediately informed of the incident. Sadly, there was nothing that could be done.
Passengers captured videos of numerous announcements over the ship's PA system calling out "man overboard" and asking everyone to go to their staterooms and remain calm.

One woman's video of the announcements had been viewed over 100,000 times on YouTube, but has since been deleted out of consideration for the victim's family.
Another travel blogger onboard posted updates on his TikTok with information he learned about the victim's passing, saying he fell from the 16th floor and landed on the 8th floor. The clips have been viewed over 28 million times.
The 15-year-old boy was on vacation with his family and no foul play is suspected, according to reports. The incident is being investigated by Miami police and authorities as a potential suicide.
"All of us at MSC Cruises are heartbroken," the company said in an official statement. "The family remains in our thoughts and prayers."
The company did not release any additional details of the boy's death out of respect for his family.
