The incident occurred in Brooklyn on Thursday afternoon, parts of which were posted on TikTok and Reddit.

In one video, the bus is seen severely ramming into several cars before plowing through an intersection, refusing to stop for law enforcement or anything in its path.

According to News 12, a total of five civilians who were in their cars when the school bus struck them were injured. The bus was also visibly smoking in the numerous videos captured of the incident.

Though the driver was initially able to evade the police, law enforcement was ultimately able to remove and detain the suspect after he crashed the school bus.

ABC 7 reported that Anthony Reyes (43), who was driving the stolen school bus, was later charged with numerous offenses, including grand larceny, reckless endangerment, unauthorized use of a vehicle, fleeing the scene of an accident, obstruction of governmental authority, and resisting arrest.

According to the news outlet, Reyes had 12 prior arrests, with the latest being in 2017 for robbery.

One witness, Ali Sulimanalmaweri, said the school bus hit nearly every car that was on the block.

Sulimanalmaweri recounted that one of the victims whose car was struck by the bus might not have made it had police not been on the scene.

"One of those cars that was right here, there was a lady inside, and if that cop did not take that lady out, she would've been dead."

Police have not yet released any other information regarding the incident or Reyes' arrest.

Thankfully, there were no children or other occupants on the bus besides the driver at the time of the carjacking.
