The accident occurred last Friday at around 9 PM, shortly after Alex Moreno and his 24-year-old female companion were kicked out of Agave Sports Bar and Grill in San Jose.

According to Mercury News, the 32-year-old appeared to be heavily intoxicated and openly used cocaine in the restaurant.

When he started to take off the woman's shirt at the bar, the staff had seen enough – and asked him to leave.

The couple left the bar without resisting and climbed into Moreno's work truck, a 2017 white Chevrolet Silverado parked outside.

That's where witnessed recalled them sitting for about 20 minutes, NBC reported.

The 24-year-old woman told police that she began performing oral sex on Moreno, who was sitting in the driver's seat. Suddenly, the truck started barreling backward at up to 45 MPH.

She claimed she didn't realize the truck was moving and can't remember the crash that came next.

Her only memory was being pulled out of the truck afterwards, when she was luckily not injured.

Those sitting on the bar's patio were not as fortunate.

The vehicle drove about 170 feet through the parking lot and then crashed into two men and a woman who were dining in the outdoor area of the restaurant, pinning them up against a wall.

All three victims were rushed to a nearby hospital, where the woman, who has now been identified as Diana Prieto Chacon, was pronounced dead.

Her two companions are both expected to survive.
