PSG women's team star arrested after allegedly putting a hit out on teammate!
Paris, France - A midfielder with the Paris Saint Germain women's soccer team has been arrested in connection with an attack on one of her teammates.
The French daily L'Equipe reported on Wednesday that Aminata Diallo (26) was taken into custody after her fellow PSG midfielder Kheira Hamraoui was assaulted in the street by two masked men on November 4, who allegedly targeted her legs.
There are suspicions that Diallo hired the attackers herself to take out a player competing for the same position on the pitch.
In a statement that mentioned multiple players being attacked, PSG said: "Paris St Germain condemns in the strongest possible terms the violence committed."
"Since Thursday evening the club has taken all necessary measures to guarantee the health, well-being and safety of its entire women's team."
"Paris St Germain is working with the Versailles Police to clarify the facts. The club is paying close attention to the progress of the proceedings and will study what action to take."
Diallo has played for PSG for five years, while fellow France international Hamraoui (31) joined from Barcelona in July.
