PGA Golf: defending Masters champion misses the cut after round two!
Augusta, Georgia - Defending champion Dustin Johnson finished his second round at The Masters, but not the way he had hoped.
Unfortunately for Johnson, his weekend is just about finished as well, at a time when most of ours are just beginning.
Johnson had a rather forgettable second round on Friday, finishing three over par (five over par overall), missing the cut for Saturday's third round.
"I just didn't putt very good. It's pretty simple," Johnson explained. He'll still be at Augusta National Golf Club on Sunday, but he's now disqualified from wearing the legendary champion's green jacket
He was one of the favorites to win on Sunday, but sadly, he'll have to wait at least another year. Fellow American Brooks Koepka also missed out on making it to Saturday. Another favorite, England's Rory McIlroy also, unfortunately, fell short in round two.
The Masters Tournament will conclude this Sunday.
