The Alabama Crimson keep scoring major touchdowns in their 2023 football recruiting haul this offseason.

The top program's recruiting success continued on Friday when an international prospect, four-star offensive tackle Olaus Alinen, announced his commitment to the school.

Alinen, who moved to the United State from Finland prior to his junior season in high school, chose Alabama over the likes of Ohio State, Miami, Oregon, and reigning national champions – who defeated the Tide for this year's title – Georgia.

The 6-foot-6 rising senior is the No. 1 recruit in the state of Connecticut and the No. 17 offensive tackle in the country. Alinen will join a talented offensive line group that features Ryqueze McElderry and Wilkin Formby.

McElderry and Formby are also four-star prospects like Alinen, with Formby being labeled as a top-100 overall rising senior in the nation.

Alinen's talent on the field comes from his father, Klaus Alinen, who is also a professional football athlete, having attended multiple NFL camps and played in NFL Europe.

Alinen has become the 14th addition to Alabama's 2023 class, and his commitment has vaulted the Tide into the top 10 in college team recruiting rankings.
