It took the A's a little bit of extra time to finally get their first win of the season. And it didn't come a moment too soon, considering they couldn't buy a win in the first six games.

Mitch Moreland (35) only needed an RBI single to drive home the winning run for Oakland as they escaped with the 4-3 victory in 10 innings.

The A's were in danger of losing the first seven games of the season, something the club had never done before in franchise history. They managed to get the lone run they needed to tie the game in the ninth, sending the game into extra innings before scoring the winning run in the bottom of the tenth.
