Ohio State football wins big at NFL Honors with the most awards
Phoenix, Arizona - Alabama Crimson Tide football may have the most players in the NFL today, but it was Ohio State who dominated at the 2023 NFL Honors with the most awards of the night.
It was a good night to be a Buckeye on Thursday after The Ohio State football took home two major awards thanks to wins by former Buckeyes Garrett Wilson and Nick Bosa.
Following an outstanding 2022 season, Wilson with the New York Jets took home the 2023 Rookie of the Year Award after capping the season with 83 catches for 1,103 yards and four touchdowns.
A true testament to the notion that the Buckeyes' football program produces elite players, Wilson's biggest competition was his former Ohio State teammate Chris Olave.
Olave also posted similar 2022 stats as Wilson, catching 72 passes for 1,042 yards and four touchdowns for the New Orleans Saints.
Nick Bosa kept the party rolling and took home not one, but two awards.
Widely projected to become one of the best defensive players in NFL history, Bosa had one heck of a year for the 49ers.
The former Buckeyes edge finished the season with 51 tackles, a massive 18.5 sacks, and two forced fumbles. Bosa took home the Deacon Jones Award for the player with the most sacks in the league and the biggest defensive award of the night: Defensive Player of the Year.
With his latest NFL Honors in addition to his Defensive Rookie and Rookie of the Year wins in 2019, Bosa has surely solidified his spot as one of the best in the league!
