Inglewood, California - The Arizona Cardinals and the Los Angeles Rams clashed out west in a matchup between two of the NFL’s last few undefeated teams.

The Cardinals ran over the Rams 37-20, to keep their record at a perfect 4-0 and finally handing LA its first loss of the 2021 regular season.

Quarterback Kyler Murray (24) led his Cardinals in a game that they had control in from the first quarter. He went 24-for-32, 268 yards passing, and two touchdowns.

From the other sideline, Rams quarterback Matthew Stafford played well, going 26-for-41 for 280 yards and adding two touchdowns and one interception.

The first quarter had both teams scoring back and forth, going into the second with LA up 10-7.

The Cardinals took over in the second quarter, sparked by Murray’s second touchdown pass, followed up by running back James Conner’s first of two touchdown runs. Conner also rushed for 50 yards off of 18 carries.

Chase Edmonds was also a big contributor to the Cardinals’ cause, running the ball 12 times for 120 yards.

For the Rams, Darrell Henderson Jr. was somewhat successful on the ground, rushing for 89 yards off of 14 carries.

The third quarter saw the Cardinals keeping up the momentum with 10 more points, capped off by Conner’s second touchdown run.

The Rams were still stuck at 10 points on the scoreboard by the time the fourth quarter started.

They finally got back into the end zone with Stafford’s second touchdown pass, a 14-yard throw to wide receiver Robert Woods.

Next Sunday, the Cardinals head back home for a divisional matchup against the 49ers, while the Rams open up Week 5 with a divisional matchup of their own in Seattle, against the Seahawks on Thursday night.
