Philadelphia, Pennsylvania - In the first game of the NFL’s Week Six slate of matchups, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers played a tough road game but ultimately prevailed over the Philadelphia Eagles.

The Buccaneers beat the Eagles 28-22 on the road for their third-straight win, leading the NFC South with their now 5-1 record.

The game surprisingly didn't end as a blowout, as the Eagles finally found their groove six weeks into the regular season.

Both teams traded touchdowns in the first quarter with the Bucs enjoying the 14-7 lead by the end.

Things got even better for Tampa as they found the end zone twice more to extend their lead to 21 points before the Eagles eventually responded again in the fourth.

Philly got back into the game with two scores to trail by only six with minutes to go in regulation.

The Bucs just couldn’t be contained as they gained the first downs that they needed to run out the clock and any chance of a successful Eagles comeback.

Once again, it was Tom Brady (43) at the focal point of the game, throwing two first-quarter touchdowns to get things going for his team.

After building the early lead for Tampa, he was able to manage the game by mostly completing his pass attempts and allowing the running game to rush for a couple of touchdowns.

With a strong showing by Philly’s defense, Brady still managed to keep the mistakes to a low despite throwing his first interception of the season in the third quarter.

He finished the night going 34 for 42, 297 yards, two touchdowns, and one pick.

The Defending Super Bowl champs seem to be back in a groove of their own, even though the Eagles didn’t go away quietly in this one.

Still, they appeared to have trouble with an otherwise moderate defense at a time in the game when they’ve usually been able to add to their point total, sealing wins by simply staying well ahead of the competition.

But a win’s a win, even if it might be close by their standards.

Next Sunday, the Bucs (5-1) host the Bears (3-2) while the Eagles (2-4) are in Las Vegas to face the Raiders (3-2).
