Las Vegas, Nevada - The Las Vegas Raiders kicked off their 2021 NFL regular sea in front of their home fans with a thrilling overtime win over the Baltimore Ravens.

The Ravens' 33-27 win had an ending that will be among some of the most spectacular this year.

Lamar Jackson (24) was playing at his usual high level, but it was surprisingly not enough, as Vegas just wouldn’t quit in front of Raider Nation. Jackson was 19-for-30 passing for 235 yards and a touchdown.

He also rushed for 86 more yards on the ground, part of Baltimore’s 189 yards total for the night.

However, Jackson had trouble securing the football three times during the game, something that would prove consequential once overtime rolled around.

The Ravens were able to hold off the Raiders during much of the game, but Vegas finally tied things up thanks to a Josh Jacobs 15-yard run in the fourth quarter to knot things up at 17-17. Jacobs led Vegas with 34 yards rushing and two touchdowns.

That was the first of five scoring changes in the fourth, where the Ravens and Raiders tied three times before the game had to be settled in overtime.

Raiders quarterback Derek Carr ran his offense down the field first in the extra period before throwing an interception in the end zone. The Ravens took over and seemed like they were going to claim victory until Carl Nassib forced Jackson's third fumble of the game, giving possession back to Vegas.

Carr ended the game for sure this time, with a 31-yard touchdown pass to Zay Jones. He was 34-for-56 passing, 435 yards, and two touchdowns overall.

Next Sunday, the Raiders head to Pittsburgh to take on the Steelers while the Ravens welcome the Chiefs into town for their home opener.
