Orchard Park, New York - The Buffalo Bills keep rolling along as they dominated the Houston Texans for their third win in a row in the 2021 NFL season.

The Bills took down the Texans 40-0 on Sunday to take sole possession of first place in the AFC East while Houston still tries to keep things together with their starting quarterback still on the mend.

Bills quarterback Josh Allen (25) played a great game despite the rain sometimes making passing pretty tough, as he took advantage of a Texans defense looking to make up for an inconsistent offense.

Allen finished the game completing 20 of 29 pass attempts for 251 yards and two touchdowns. He also rushed the football six times for 41 yards on the ground.

After Allen’s first TD pass in the first quarter, the Bills would rely on their placekicker for their next 12 points in both the second and third quarters.

The Bills then piled on the points over a worn-down Texans defense that allowed 21 more points in the final quarter.

Houston’s defense just couldn't handle Buffalo’s weapons, and while the passing attack made out well, the rushing game had its way with the Texans as they piled on 199 total yards.

Tight end Dawson Knox caught Allen’s two touchdown passes and wide receiver Stefon Diggs had seven catches for 114 yards – that's more yards of offense than the Texans had altogether as a team.

Houston's lack of discipline caused five turnovers in the game, four of which came from rookie quarterback Davis Mills, who was starting in place of injured Texans starter Tyrod Taylor. Mills finished 11-for-21 passing with only 87 yards and four picks.

Their rushing attack was nothing to speak of either, using six rushers that totaled up only 48 yards.

The Bills (3-1) head to Kansas City (2-2) to take on the Chiefs Sunday night while the Texans (1-3) are on the road to face the Patriots (1-3) Sunday afternoon.
