Inglewood, California - The Los Angeles Rams handed the Tampa Bay Buccaneers their first loss of the year and kept their undefeated record intact in a show of high-flying offense out west.

The Rams beat the Bucs 34-24 on Sunday to become one of only a handful of teams left in the NFL with perfect 3-0 records.

This was a game for lots of passing from both teams, but it was Matthew Stafford (36) who came away with the win by throwing all four of the Rams’ touchdowns.

He finished the game going 27-for-38 and 343 yards to go with his scoring passes.

There was no scoring out of the gate for either team, despite the passing games for both sides being on full display for all four quarters.

It was in the second quarter, though, when everything took off as LA went into the half leading 14-7.

They put up 17 more points in the third as the defending Super Bowl champs tried their best to keep up, but couldn’t keep the pressure on in the fourth quarter on their way to their first loss of the year.

Tom Brady was still the top guy on the stats sheet though, completing 41 of 55 pass attempts for 432 yards and a touchdown for the game. He also rushed the ball three times – granted, for only 14 yards – and also scored a touchdown on the ground.

Tampa running back Giovani Bernard caught Brady’s only touchdown pass, ironically part of his nine-catch, 51-yard overall effort, which didn't include carrying the football on a rushing play at any point during the game.

Ultimately, the Rams just made more positive plays on offense, while same couldn’t be said for the Bucs, who committed seven penalties and had trouble keeping Brady protected, allowing three sacks for 21 yards lost.

Next Sunday, the Rams (3-0) are in Arizona to face the Cardinals (3-0) while Brady returns to New England for the first time as a visitor as the Bucs (2-1) face the Patriots (1-2).
