After a long, grueling season, the Georgia Bulldogs landed in Los Angeles on Friday and are set to defend their title in the national championship game.

The Bulldogs beat Ohio State 42-41 in a thrilling College Football Playoff Peach Bowl semifinal to advance to the championship game on Monday against TCU at SoFi Stadium.

A win over the Horned Frogs would make the Georgia the first back-to-back college football national champion since the Alabama Crimson Tide in 2011-12.

"[Winning consecutive titles] doesn't come without a lot of hard work," Georgia head coach Kirby Smart told TAG24 NEWS. "Our guys have took that hard work hell and one of the hardest things to do in all sports is finish. We've got an opportunity to finish a really good season on Monday night, and we've got a great opponent to go through to get there."

The Bulldogs will return to the field on Monday unbeaten closing out the regular season with a perfect 12-0 record and SEC championship title.

"The Players put us in this position. It's not about me. It's about our organization, our university," Smart reflected to TAG24. "I got a lot of respect for TCU and our guys and the work they put in. It's just an honor to be at this stage."

The only undefeated team in the nation, Georgia will face TCU for the national title on Monday at 7:30 PM EST at SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, California.
