Tulane football shocks Heisman winner Caleb Williams and USC in Cotton Bowl upset
Like a scene out of a Disney Channel original movie, Tulane shocked the entire college football world with one of the biggest upsets in college football bowl history.
Just narrowly defeating USC, led by Heisman winner Caleb Williams, 46-45, the Cotton Bowl showdown came down to the final seconds of the final quarter, when Tulane delivered a magical game-winning play.
In the final moments of the showdown, the Green Wave were trailing the Trojans by a single touchdown score.
On the 2nd and goal with 12 seconds remaining on the clock, Tulane quarterback Michael Pratt hit tight end Alex Bauman for a 6-yard touchdown to tie the game 45-45.
Kicker Valentino Ambrosio followed up with a successful field goal point to secure the Green Wave's game-winning play and set celebratory fireworks off in the Cotton Stadium.
