Los Angeles, California - Social media's most bizarre shoes have finally made it off the shelves and onto the streets by way of the NBA's most daring style-stepper!

If Clifford the Big Red Dog was a shoe, it would be the new MSCHF boots that has caught the media's attention around the world!

Taking those big red boots for a pre-release stroll, as they aren't available to the public until February 16, was none other than NBA athlete Shai Gilgeous-Alexander!

The 24-year-old Oklahoma City Thunder guard stole the show ahead of OKC's historic game against the Los Angeles Lakers where LeBron James made history and became the league's all-time leading scorer.

Paired with custom wave-shaped denim and an olive green leather jacket, the viral Astro Boy-inspired red boots were unarguably the biggest fashion statement of the night!

"The closet thing to a hood fit we will see in these damn boots," one Instagram user said in the comments section of Gilgeous-Alexander's viral 'fit picture.

"Shai Gilgeous-Alexander got them Ronald McDonald boots waiting on him in the locker room but he still gon get his 30 points. Keeping Russell Westbrook tradition of dressing like a goofy but still hoopin alive in OKC," one fan jokingly tweeted.

Clearly, Shai Gilgeous-Alexander showed up to show out in OKC's 133-130 victory over the Lakers, racking up 30 points and eight assists to improve the Thunder's overall season record to 26-28.
