More than ever, the NBA has become a major platform for the culture of fashion!

While sports and style have been linked for years, the world of basketball historically hasn't been too fashion-forward.

Over the past ten years, however, NBA athletes have become some of the biggest fashion influencers of today, ditching oversized suits to strut the pregame tunnels in custom couture, gracing fashion spreads in notable magazines like GQ.

This week, NBA stars scored major style points off the court with statement fashion moments that caused quite the buzz on social media.

Here's how the league's most stylish players showcased head-turning fashion ahead of the week's biggest games.

On Tuesday night, the NBA's newest all-time leading scorer LeBron James wore an all black ensemble, as if he knew he was about to bury the previous record set by basketball legend Kareem Abdul-Jabbar.

Ahead of the Los Angeles Lakers' historic game against the Oklahoma City Thunder, James wore a perfectly-tailored black satin suit paired with a black pearl-button shirt and blinding diamonds.

On the lapel of the jacket, James wore two gold pins: one rose shaped, and the other rectangular shape that were engraved with the words "stay present."

By far, rookie Bennedict Mathurin has become one of the NBA's most stylish athletes.

In his first pro season, the 6-foot-5 guard-forward has stepped out every week with show-stopping looks, and he didn't hold back on Wednesday ahead of the Miami Heat's game against the Indiana Pacers.

Mathurin strutted down the streets of Miami in a relaxed green mesh knit shirt with cropped black trousers and Prada sneakers. He paired his Miami Vice look with two chains and midnight black shades to block out the paparazzi.

Philadelphia 76ers point guard James Harden is no stranger when it comes to making headlines for his fashion choices!

At TD Garden on Wednesday night, the NBA MVP came through in all Louis Vuitton! Harden wore the brand's $4,750 Allover Vuitton snow jacket with matching $2,320 Vuitton Down Ski pants along with the collection's matching duffle bag.

On his feet, the NBA legend wore his own Adidas Harden vol. 7 sneakers, which haven't been released to the public.

Tim Hardaway Jr. isn't new to the league or the world of fashion!

The shooting guard turned some heads when he walked through the tunnel on Wednesday night in true street style fashion ahead of the Dallas Mavericks game against the LA Clippers.

Hardaway sported a "What the Flannel" flannel top by designer DLMFO with Homme Femme decayed denim jeans and bright orange Nike Dunks.
