Which college basketball teams can earn a No. 1 seed in March Madness?

West Lafayette, Indiana - Even after their shocking loss to No. 21 Indiana on Saturday, the nation's best team Purdue is still an easy pick for the No. 1 seed in college basketball's March Madness tournament.

Purdue, Alabama, Kansas, and Texas are leading programs that are seemingly en route to earning a No. 1 seed for the March Madness tournament.

With March Madness divided into four divisions – East, West, Midwest, and South – the Boilermakers (22-2) can surely still be a top pick!

Purdue is currently tied with Kansas for the most quad 1 wins (9), and are still ranked No. 1 following their most recent loss to Indiana.

The Kansas Jayhawks, like Purdue, are another strong team that may earn a top seed in this year's tournament.

The reigning national champions have hit some bumps along the road this season, but Kansas still has the most shared quad wins, which is a major point of consideration for the selection committee.

Speaking of the Big 12, Texas' huge road win over Kansas State over the weekend reminded the college hoops world that the Longhorns may be a big threat to teams in the tournament.

Texas has the second most quad 1 wins with eight, and the Longhorns surely aren't looking to back down from any of the teams they're set to face.

In the SEC, Alabama is arguably the only team in the nation that's guaranteed a No. 1 seed thus far this season.

The Crimson Tide is the country's only unbeaten team in conference play and are projected to cruise through the rest of the regular season.

The top 68 teams selected to compete in the March Madness tournament will be revealed during Selection Sunday on March 12.
