Purdue and UConn hoops remain untouchable as the nation's best
West Lafayette, Indiana - It's no fluke! The Purdue Boilermakers are the best men's college basketball team in the nation.
For the third consecutive week, the top of the AP men's college basketball rankings remains unchanged.
The Purdue Boilermakers have once again secured the No. 1 spot after another flawless week on the court.
As expected, Purdue (12-0) easily dominated New Orleans at home last week and are one of only three unbeaten teams remaining this season.
Like the Boilermakers, UConn also kept its perfect winning streak alive with a huge double-digit win over Georgetown.
As the only 13-0 team, each of the Huskies' wins have been by double figures and the team has arguably had the most impressive start across NCAA men's basketball this season.
With UConn inching towards the No. 1 spot as the team anxiously awaits a Purdue slip-up, Houston, Kansas, and Arizona round out the top 5.
It's still a bit too early to make any calls regarding what teams will make a March Madness appearance, but it's safe to say that Purdue and UConn are respectively on their way to the tournament's championship bracket.
No. 1 Purdue will look to keep their winning streak alive on Thursday as they face Florida A&M at home at 5PM EST.
