Floyd "Money" Mayweather may lose millions after fight cancellation
Leeds, UK - Boxer Floyd "Money" Mayweather has won 50 professional fights and is said to have collected more than a billion dollars in prize money during his career. This February, the living boxing legend wanted to get back into the ring and earn some extra money with another mega fight, but his opponent has since cancelled.
After hanging up his professional gloves, 45-year-old Mayweather earned millions from exhibition fights.
For the 2021 fight against wrestler, influencer, and YouTuber Logan Paul, Mayweather is said to have earned more than $27 million from a pants sponsorship deal alone, according to GNP1.
Leeds native Liam "The Hitman" Harrison (37) was supposed to be Floyd's next opponent in February's mega showdown, but the fighter came forward on Friday via Instagram to bow out of the fight.

The UK's best Muay Thai fighter had to cancel the upcoming fight against Mayweather due to knee problems.
"Just a few days ago we thought a boxing match was possible, despite the upcoming surgery on my knee, but after intensifying my training and after a few hard sparring sessions, it's swollen like a balloon and I can't walk," Harrison wrote on IG.
Further, the English fighter said that this fight and everything it would've entailed could have "changed his life", and further explained how heartbroken he was to have to cancel it.
As we all know, hope dies last, and Harrison sure left his fans with an ounce of it: "I hope the fight will go up as soon as I'm healthy again."
With the fight's future in the air, it's a good thing Floyd "Money" Mayweather has lined his pockets with some extra cash!
