Florida Gators land another big commit with four-star Aidan Mizell

Orlando, Florida - Holding a baby alligator in each arm, four-star receiver Aidan Mizell committed to the Florida Gators in style. He's now the program's highest-ranked commit in the 2023 class.

Just a day after receiving their third-highest commitment from Ja'Keem Jackson, the Florida Gators landed another big prospect Friday afternoon.

Aidan "Early" Mizell is one of the fastest high school wide-receivers in the country and he has pledged his future to the program.

As the 13th best wideout in the nation and the No. 72 ranked player overall, Mizell takes top spot among the Gators' addition to the program thus far.

"It’s really just the coaching staff," Mizell said, while holding two baby alligators. "They are all really cool and they have created a great environment. I really like what Coach Napier is doing and I can see him getting the program back to competing for national championships."

The 6-foot-2, two-sport athlete is coming off a stellar junior football season, recording 47 passes for 1,003 yards and 18 touchdowns. As a track and field star, Mizell ran a low 10.65 in the 100-meter dash and clocked 46.99 in the 400-meter.

That kind of time suggests he has the potential to follow in the footsteps of the Philadelphia Eagles' Devon Allen, as well as his parents, who both ran track for the Florida Gators.

Meanwhile, the football program earned a three-spot jump from No. 17 to No. 14, which gives the Gators their highest point to date in the 2023 recruiting class team rankings.
