Tennessee football keeps stacking up major talent for its future seasons as Echols made his commitment on Independence Day.

Though the promising prospect didn't list his final schools, he chose the Volunteers over offers from Alabama, Arkansas, Cincinnati, Ohio State and Florida State.

A No. 4 ranked position player as early as his sophomore year, Echols is one of the most versatile athletes out there and he's already proven that he can play successfully in multiple positions.

The 6-foot-4 recruit got work at quarterback, tight-end, wide-receiver, linebacker, and defensive-end, leaving the door open for a staff at the next level to find his best fit.

While some prefer his upside defensively, others like his athletic ability at tight-end or wide-receiver. His two remaining seasons at the prestige IMG Academy will be vital to guiding Echols to the position his football career will shine the most.

Though Echols commitment comes very early in the recruiting season, the No. 5 overall rank in the nation is confident that Knoxville will be his next home and help propel him into higher levels of elite football.
