Clemson football receives huge holiday gift with Tyler Brown commitment

Clemson, South Carolina - South Carolina native and top receiver Tyler Brown gave Clemson football another reason to be thankful on Thanksgiving after committing to the program on Thursday.

When the former Minnesota commit re-opened his recruitment last month, Brown was praying to live out his dream to hail the orange and purple.

What was once a dream is now his reality, and the superstar wideout will be staying in his home state to play for the Clemson Tigers!

The third receiver of the team's 2023 class, Brown is one of the sharpest players out of Carolina who posted 51 catches for 835 yards and 12 touchdowns in 13 games this season.

Brown will lead his Red Raiders' football team out of Greenville in the 4A state semifinals on Friday night against Northwestern High school.

Last year as a junior, Brown caught 71 passes for 15 scores while breaking the 1,000+ yards club with 1,034 receiving yards on the field.

A two-sport athlete who also dominates on the track, Brown recorded a 10.87 sprint in the 100-meter race last spring.

With his outstanding athleticism and heart for the program, Brown is the perfect addition to Clemson's 2023 roster rebuild that currently ranks the ninth-best nationally, led by five-star quarterback Christopher Vizzina.

Climbing back up the College Football Playoffs rankings after taking a big loss from Notre Dame, the Clemson Tigers will host South Carolina on Saturday just before taking on North Carolina for the ACC Championship Game on December 3.
