Browns star Myles Garrett taken to hospital after single-car accident
Berea, Ohio - Myles Garrett was taken to hospital after the Cleveland Browns star was involved in a single-car accident.
The defensive end sustained injuries that were not life-threatening in the incident, which occurred around 3:00 PM local time after Garrett had departed team training at the Browns' practice facility in Berea, Ohio, in his Porsche.
It was reported by NFL.com that Garrett was responsive when officers arrived at the scene of the accident, while impairment is not suspected. The 26-year-old was traveling with one other passenger.
A statement released by Garrett's agent, Nicole Lynn, read: "Myles Garrett was involved in a one-car accident this afternoon and was transported to a local hospital to be evaluated."
"While we are waiting to learn the extent of his injuries, he has been alert and responsive."
"The Garrett family would like to thank the medical personnel that got Myles and his passenger out of the vehicle and safely transported to the hospital."
Garrett was the first overall pick in the 2017 draft and is a two-time first-team All-Pro.
