Big 12's Baylor Bears football lands big man Brock Jackson
Waco, Texas - As the Baylor Bears continue to build a championship-winning roster, the college football program got a huge boost on Thursday with a pledge from Brock "Big man" Jackson.
The four-star edge who is "committed" to Baylor football chose the Bears over big offers from Arkansas, Colorado, and Texas Tech, amongst others.
In his latest season, Jackson posted huge stats as a junior on his Lumberton High school team with 64 total tackles (43 solo tackles, 21 tackles for loss), six sacks, four pass breakups and forced fumbles, two fumble recoveries, and a massive 21 quarterback hurries.
Before committing to the Bears, the 6-foot-4, 240-pound prospect headlined the 2024 recruiting season as one of Baylor's biggest prospects to join their defensive squad.
Showing heavy interest in the program via his social media since he received an offer last May, Jackson seemingly couldn't wait any longer to secure his future in college football.
The Texas native joins a growing 2024 class that includes four-star receiver Jadon Porter and interior offensive lineman Koltin Sieracki.
Prepping for spring practice, the Baylor Bears will return to McLane Stadium on April 22 at 1 PM EST for their annual Green and Gold scrimmage.
