Auburn Tigers football snags four-star commit Adam Hopkins
Auburn, Alabama - The Auburn Tigers football roared with excitement on Thursday morning after landing their highest-ranked pledge of the 2023 class – wide receiver Adam Hopkins.
After losing out on talented four-star receiver Karmello English, who on Wednesday decided to decommit, Hopkins' pledge fills the void in Auburn's receiver room, joining fellow four-star athlete Daquayvious Sorey.
Hopkins, who is the 25th best player in the state of Georgia and a top 30 receiver in the nation, chose the Tigers over a list of finalists including, Texas A&M, Florida State, Arkansas, and Kansas State.
Playing at Thomas County Central last season, the 6-foot wideout has gotten snaps at both defensive back and wide receiver.
Last year, Hopkins achieved two receiving touchdowns while posting 12 pass breakups and two interceptions returned for touchdowns, which helped guide the Yellow Jackets to the Georgia state playoffs.
During Thomas County’s 4-0 start this fall, Hopkins ran for 193 all-purpose yards and three touchdowns.
The Tigers have snagged themselves a dynamic playmaker who has some of the fastest verified speeds in the class and will be looking to make an immediate impact on the field.
Following Hopkins pledge, Auburn is on eight commitments for the 2023 recruiting class, six of them being four-star players.
