Republican congressman shares anime video of himself attacking migrants and killing AOC

Washington DC - Arizona Rep. Paul Gosar has reached new lows with a recent video post in which he attacks everyone from Joe Biden to AOC to migrants crossing the US-Mexico border.

Arizona Rep. Paul Gosar uploaded an anime-inspired video in which he juxtaposes racist depictions of the US-Mexico border with clips of himself attacking Joe Biden and AOC.

The Arizona Republican shared an Attack on Titan-inspired video on Twitter along with the text, "Any anime fans out there?"

The video depicts images of Black migrants crossing the US-Mexico border with what appear to be blood splatters on the screen. It then flips to text captions, reading, "Drugs," "Crime," "Poverty," "Money," "Gangs," "Violence," and "Trafficking."

Border Patrol officers, who all appear to be white in the video, stand at the ready, and there is even a shot of two officers on horseback.

This September, horse patrols at the border were temporarily halted after footage surfaced showing officers appearing to whip Haitian migrants with their reins.

Next, an anime version of Gosar, armed with two swords, joins his Republican colleagues Marjorie Taylor Greene and Lauren Boebert in attacking and killing a giant with Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez's face.

Gosar then turns his swords on a large image of Joe Biden.

The video closes with a mash-up of images of Gosar, ex-president Donald Trump, and beleaguered Florida Rep. Matt Gaetz, currently involved in an FBI sex trafficking probe.

Twitter users have called for the video's removal, saying it stands in violation of the platform's rules, which state, "You may not threaten violence against an individual or a group of people. We also prohibit the glorification of violence."

A Twitter spokesperson told The Hill, "We have placed a public interest notice on this Tweet as it violates our hateful conduct policy."

"As is standard with this notice, engagements with the Tweet will be limited. People will be able to Quote Tweet the Tweet, but will not be able to Like, Reply or Retweet it."

AOC has also responded to the clip, tweeting, "So while I was en route to Glasgow, a creepy member I work with who fundraises for Neo-Nazi groups shared a fantasy video of him killing me. And he’ll face no consequences bc @GOPLeader [Kevin McCarthy] cheers him on with excuses."

"Fun Monday! Well, back to work bc institutions don’t protect [women of color]," she continued.

AOC has arrived in Scotland, where she joins Democratic colleagues in attending the COP26 climate summit.
