Tony Blair rivals Boris Johnson for UK prime minister's worst look

London, UK - One would assume such a high-ranking politician would have the help of a professional stylist, but it seems UK prime ministers don't care for such things.

Some people still can't get used to Boris Johnson's (56) curious hairstyle, but now there is suddenly unexpected competition from former UK Prime Minister Tony Blair (67).

The ex-PM was renamed "Tony Hair" by the Daily Mail on Tuesday evening due to all the attention his style drew as people took to Twitter to discuss his transformation.

The 67-year-old presented his new 'do for all the world to see during a recent TV interview.

He was sporting what definitely could be considered a "lockdown hairstyle," and the Twitter community was absolutely delighted, drawing many hilarious comparisons.

"Tony Blair is slowly turning into Doc Brown," quipped politician Matt Gorman, who tweeted a photo of the mad professor from Back to the Future for comparison.

Another Twitter user was also amused: "#TonyBlair is the spitting image of the man who disintegrates after drinking from the big gold cup in Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade."

More unflattering comparisons followed.

This is what people think of when they see Tony Blair's new look

Bizarre lockdown hairstyles were a special feature on social media last year.

Hairdressers had to close down for months because of the pandemic, and people had to make do with different colored roots and at-home hack jobs.

Thanks to a very quick vaccination campaign, however, this is no longer the case, and Brits have been able to get their hair done again for a while now.

Celebs who previously shared how their partners were helping them dye their hair in the shower have been able to reconnect with pro stylists for professional new looks.

It could be that Tony Blair is very happy with the wild new mane he managed to grow out of his historically thin hair and that's why he presented it on television.

Nevertheless, it's clear his new style still isn't much competition for Boris Johnson's trademark tangles.

After all, Johnson's messy hairstyle is known all over the world!
