Trump's Mar-a-Lago estate partially closed due to coronavirus outbreak
Palm Beach, Florida – Ex-president Donald Trump's club has been partially closed due to an outbreak of Covid-19 among staff.
An insider told AP News that Mar-a-Lago's dining room and beach club had been closed "out of an abundance of caution." Several staff members were also quarantined.
An internal email sent to members said the club had taken "all appropriate response measures." Nevertheless, banquet and event services remain open.
"The health and safety of our members and staff is our highest priority," the email affirmed.
Mar-a-Lago has hosted several large benefits and other events in recent weeks. In January, the club received a warning for violating local mask mandates after a video of a New Year's Eve party was released. Few of the over 500 guests, including Donald Trump Jr., were wearing masks.
Donald Trump, who now resides at Mar-a-Lago, was vaccinated against the coronavirus before leaving office in January.
He has since spoken out in favor of the vaccine, calling it "safe" and "great" and urging his supporters to get their immunizations.
