Donald Trump's aide Hope Hicks sent bombshell texts and was shook on Jan. 6
Washington DC - The January 6 House committee has released a damning text exchange that Hope Hicks, an aide to former president Donald Trump, sent on the day of the Capitol riots.
As violent Trump supporters stormed the Capitol building in hopes of overturning the results of the presidential election on January 6, 2021, Hicks had a text conversation with Julie Radford, the chief of staff to Trump's daughter Ivanka.
"In one day he ended every future opportunity that doesn't include speaking engagements at the local proud boys chapter," Hicks wrote.
"Yup," Radford responded.
"And all of us that didn't have jobs lined up will be perpetually unemployed," Hicks continued. "I'm so mad and upset. We all look like domestic terrorists now."
Radford agreed, replying, "Oh yes, I've been crying for an hour."
Hicks went on to comment that White House Director of Strategic Communications Alyssa Farah Griffin "looks like a genius" for resigning from her position a month before the riots.
The two also spoke about Stephanie Grisham, the chief of staff to Trump's wife Melania, who resigned on the same day of the riots. Radford described Grisham's resignation as "self-serving."
The January 6 committee continues to release evidence from their investigation into Donald Trump's involvement with the Capitol riots, demonstrating that Trump's inner circle has been falling apart for some time now.
