Just days after news broke that Bezos and Jay-Z were allegedly joining forces to buy the Commanders, the hip-hop icon and Amazon founder reportedly met for dinner in Los Angeles on Monday and subsequently started a social media frenzy.

The duo broke bread at Horses restaurant near the Sunset Strip and kept a low profile during their outing.

While the restaurant is closed on Mondays, the owner opened the doors just for them, heightening rumors of the two possibly negotiating an NFL deal.

If this spotting wasn't enough for fans to believe that a possible deal may be in the works, Bezos' date, media personality Lauren Sanchez, posted an Instagram story that may have sealed the rumor deal for fans.

Sanchez posted a picture of herself dressed in a black dress to her Insta story with on-screen text that read, "Are you ready for some..."

The phrase Sanchez coins relates to Hank Williams Jr. famous Monday Night Football song, "Are you ready for some football," which seemingly suggests that the pair spoke about a partnership to purchase the Commanders.

The expected buying price for the franchise is around $7 billion, with several high-profile businessmen looking to buy the team off Snyder.

Last week, the Washington Commanders revealed that current owners Dan and Tanya Snyder hired Bank of America Securities "to consider potential transactions."
