Tattoo fanatic says extreme body mod journey's "been nothing but positive"
Los Angeles, California - A body modification extremist and tattoo fan who has spent over $30,000 altering his body has revealed just what mod hurt the most, and what his family thinks of his personalized and ever-changing looks.
Cameron Bright has spent over 100 hours getting his body tattooed, but his ink is the most modest aspect of his highly modified looks.
With 28 piercings, silicon implants on his collar bones and in areas below the belt, and several gauges he often stuffs things through on his TikTok, you may think that one of these body mods was the most difficult and painful to heal from. However, Bright told the Daily Mail that it was his split tongue that gave him the most trouble.
"'The hardest modification I've had done was my split tongue," he said. "The procedure isn't as painful as the actual healing, it's a week of not eating, drooling, and pain until you get the stitches out a week later."
Though Bright admits he often faces backlash online and out in the world, he said his family is now OK with the way he looks.
"They were worried that I wouldn't get a job at first," he admitted. "But I've proven to be successful."
Despite the hate, Bright says body mods have "been nothing but positive" for him. "I've loved every moment."
The Californian also said his body mod journey is "nowhere near finished."
