Tattoo fanatic couple says love gets them through the online trolling
A heavily tattooed couple that found love at a tattoo shop leans on their love to get through the online and real-life hate.
Tobias Müller, a zookeeper from Germany fell for tattoo artist Lena-Marie Duhn in March 2018. And since then, he's saved quite a few bucks in terms of getting inked thanks to his newfound romance.
Per the Daily Star, the pair has a combined total of 360 tattoos including tattooed eyeballs, over 54 piercings, several gauges, and subdermal implants and chips. While they happen to love their modified look, it seems not everyone is as fond of their appearances.
Tobias reportedly told NeedToKnow.Online, "Especially on the internet, there are regular hateful comments, such as that I would have to be mentally ill with the way I look."
"Someone also said they wished I was blind due to my eyeball tattoo," he said.
Regardless of the negative noise around them, Lena said, "Normally [I] try to ignore them and simply delete any negative comments."
Ultimately, the couple says they "both love the way tattoos and modifications look" and the freedom to express themselves.
“At the end of the day, we’re only doing all of this for ourselves, not for anyone else.”
Isn't that the truth!
