When you find something that makes you feel a little more like you, it only makes sense to return for more. That's just what Jessie from Kansas did by way of body mods and tattoos, and they don't regret any of it for a second – nor should they.

Jessie, an Amazon employee who identifies as non-binary, told the Daily Star that they have spent between $7,000 and $10,000 modifying and inking up their body:

As of now, Jessie has over 28 piercings, several tattoos in various places on their body, and gauged ears that have been stretch to an unheard of size of 80mm. It appears that they are trying to stretch their lobes even more with some heavy weights that Jessie made.

They also have their nostrils stretched with 20mm gauges, and some horn-tastic subdermal implants in their forehead.

"We're all different. I think 'that looks cool', and then you go, 'I think I can go bigger - I can go bigger again,'" they told the outlet.

When asked why they like body modifications so much, Jessie responded: "It's not that I wanted to stand out. The more I do it just makes me feel like myself," they said. "It makes me really, really happy."

Though Jessie admitted to wanting a full-body sleeve, the body modification ventures have been paused to save money for other things, such as purchasing a house with their partner.

Speaking about the public's reaction to their highly unique look, Jessie told the publication, "People are a lot meaner online than they are in real life," later adding that "some people have told me I'm going to hell."

But at the end of the day, Jessie knows the only person's opinion that matters is their own.

"What you see in the mirror and what you want means more than what anyone else thinks," they said.
