Tristan Weigelt tattooed more than 95 percent of his body in only two years
Copenhagen, Denmark – Within a period of only two short years, Tristan Weigelt tattooed more than 95 percent of his body, making him nearly unrecognizable from his former self.
Tristan Weigelt is a 25-year-old American man who currently lives in the Danish capital Copenhagen – and has quite an interest in tattoos.
Over the course of the last few years, Weigelt has inked a whopping 95% of his body, with only the palms of his hands, the soles of his feet, his ears, and his genitals remaining untouched.
Aside from those delicate and generally hidden areas, Weigelt's body is entirely covered in tattoos of various shapes, colors, and designs.
Tristan Weigelt's tattoos cost a lot of money and time
From skeleton-inspired tattoo work on his face and a large dragon on his back, to a samurai on his stomach and colorful patterns on his legs (and even on his buttocks), Weigelt's has gathered quite a collection.
In an interview with the Daily Mail, the 25-year-old said he was 20 years old when he got his first tattoo. However, it wasn't until 2020 that his ink-inspired transformation began.
Since then, Tristan has spent almost 260 hours under the needle and roughly $53,500 for his transformation!
Despite tattoo fame, Tristan Weigelt faces opposition
Weigelt noted that while he was more than thrilled with his ink, his parents felt the exact opposite. Still, they're aware that his outward appearance hasn't altered who he was at the core, and their love is unwavering.
While his tattoos will likely cause future troubles, it has also provided him with notoriety. Weigelt now has more than 72,000 followers on Instagram, where he posts updates on his tattoo journey and lifestyle.
Tristan Weigelt reveals which tattoos hurt the most
The 25-year-old also dished on what areas hurt to be tatted the most, revealing that his face and the back of his head were undoubtedly the worst. He explained that "The pain was probably an eight out of 10. It felt like being scrubbed with a metal brush."
Despite the pain involved, Weigelt already has plans to cover more of his face with ink in the year ahead. The US native offered up sound advice for anyone considering a tattoo.
"Get what you love and what makes sense to you. I see so many people worried about a certain tattoo fitting them or it not being their style. If you like it - then get it," Weigelt said.
