Some people bake homemade pumpkin pies and pumpkin bread while others spend hours preparing traditional Thanksgiving sides like green bean casserole, stuffing, and mashed potatoes.

But one family on TikTok broke the mold by steering clear of the foodie "norm" and opting for a day at a tattoo parlor instead.

In a video posted by @kris10hilll that's garnered 13.9 million views, her family is seen scattered around a tattoo shop while the on-screen text reads, "When your family Thanksgiving day tradition is getting tattoos."

The video then pans from person to person, showing each family member getting their own unique tattoo in varying locations.

In a followup video, the TikToker highlighted each of her family member's fresh ink, with designs ranging from crosses, flowers, and trees, to dogs and cowboy hats.

The TikToker also revealed that in the past, her family had all gotten the same tattoos, which didn't make for stellar video content.

Regardless, other TikTok users seemed to love this family's Thanksgiving Day tattoo tradition, as one person asked, "y’all want another family member??," while another vowed to partake in similar Turkey Day fun: "I will 100% start this tradition if i have a family."

We love to see people of all ages partaking in tattoo love – especially to celebrate Thanksgiving!
