A 38-year-old woman in North Carolina is pregnant with her 16th child.

While most people would shudder at this kind of workload, she and her husband Carlos (37) are overjoyed to be adding to their little army.

The Daily Mirror reports that they have been blessed with ten girls and five boys. That's not all: there are three pairs of twins among them!

Girl number eleven will be arriving in May 2021.

If you're wondering how they can even remember who's who around the house, the Hernandez family has a strict principle when it comes to names: they all start with C, in honor of the dad. There's Carlos Jr. of course, but also Christopher, Calvin, Carla, Caitlyn, Cristian, Celeste, and Cristina.

Catherine, Carol, Caleb, Caroline, Camila, Charlie, and Crystal complete the bunch. On average, Patty has been giving birth every 12 months.

The 38-year-old supermom admits that parenthood can be hard sometimes, but she and her husband are thrilled about the latest pregnancy. And since they don't use contraception, it was not a shock at all. "We have left everything to God so whatever God wants to give us we will be happy."

But the unprotected sex is not the only reason for all the children. Patty explains that being pregnant actually gives her incredible joy. "I'm so happy when I'm pregnant. Around three months after I have a baby I usually get pregnant again."

Nevertheless, their lives can also be really stressful. Patty talks about the never ending laundry: four days a week, she has to do the washing for her dozen-plus babies. The house also has to be kept clean and the kids need to eat, of course.

This amount of children ends up costing a lot of money. The couple spends almost $400 a week on grocery shopping alone. They need a new car too, as their 16-seater bus is no longer big enough.

But Patty and Carlos are happy and a little amused by all the attention they are getting. They love their extraordinary life and wouldn't change a thing.
