Sydney, Australia - The Australian podcast sensation Jana Hocking (36) is THE dating expert among the country's millennials! And her latest pear of wisdom concerns three red flags everyone should look out for on a date.

Speaking to the New Zealand Herald, Hocking admitted that men with bedroom eyes or a jaw that looks like it's been chiseled in marble can make her knees go weak.

But her experience has taught her how important it is to looks past these superficial first impression and stay alert to warning signs that should never be ignored under any circumstances.

First off, using the "royal we" to talk about something that you supposedly need to change about yourself is a major no-no.

One of Hocking's dates didn't like her self-deprecating humor and said, "How do we get you to stop talking like that?" That was all the motivation she needed to stop talking to the guy altogether.

Her alarm sirens also go off when someone talks smack about their ex on a first date. "Oh she was crazy" is a phase that has the influencer questioning whether the person is prone to gaslighting others.

On top of that, someone who immediately brings up their former partner on a first date might bring baggage into a new relationship, as they are likely still attached to their ex.

Hocking also admitted she has been guilty of raising the third red flag herself once: criticizing your date.

A man she was seeing once sent her a selfie, trying to be sexy, but she found it cringe-worthy and later laughed at it.

"Oh yeah I saw that, was that you trying to be George Clooney?" she replied.

The poor guy was clearly hurt, and Hocking immediately felt awful.

But she also realized at that moment that she simply wasn't into him anymore. Instead of being honest, she had lashed out and had taken out her own issues on him. However, the podcaster has learned her lesson since then.

It's not the first time the expert has given her fans dating advice. She has previously also given tips on how to make a good impression on a first date and revealed what's a dealbreaker for all women.
