Gorilla Glue Girl starts business inspired by her own viral disaster!
St. Bernard Parish, Louisiana – After the painful and cringeworthy crisis brought on by Gorilla Glue, Tessica Brown is making lemonade out of lemons by creating her own line of hair care products inspired by her struggles.
Live and learn has a whole new meaning when it comes to Tessica Brown, aka "Gorillia Glue Girl". Thanks to a GoFundMe set up to support her, Brown was able to get the glue she had mistakenly used as hairspray surgically removed, but she lost most of her hair in the process.
Living through the horrific experience empowered Brown to create something that would ensure this mistake could never happen to anyone else, and also help those who might be recovering from hair emergencies: her own hair care line called Forever Hair.
Following the surgery, Brown shared on TikTok that she had been working with hair care professionals, learning about what would help with her specific, post-Gorilla Glue hair needs.
"I needed this oil to heal my scalp. I needed this oil to grow my hair back. I needed it to stimulate my hair follicles. And on top of that, I needed everything to be all natural," Brown said in the video.
From Gorilla Glue to Forever Hair
Each of the products in her hair care line were made using only the finest natural ingredients, like black cumin and avocado oil, that aims to protect the scalp, while stimulating hair follicles to promote growth.
In her TikTok, she showed off her hair's amazing three-month transformation, proving the potency and effectiveness of the growth oil.
Along with the growth oil Brown swears by, the Forever Hair line also ironically includes a hairspray called Forever Hold, which claims to keep your ponytail firm and tight without damaging your hair or scalp.
It's not hard to see where the inspiration for Forever Hold came from. Brown's terrifying Gorilla Glue experience changed her life forever – now in good ways as well as bad!
