New York teen dies after hail of bullets that wounded four others
New York, New York – A 17-year-old boy, one of five people wounded in a hail of bullets behind a Bronx McDonald’s, has died, police said Sunday.
Armanis Valdez was struck in the chest when someone opened fire at Claremont Park behind a McDonald’s on Webster Avenue in Claremont about 9:05 PM Saturday, cops said.
Medics rushed him to BronxCare Health System, but he could not be saved. He lived about a mile from where he was shot.
Police later learned four other people wounded in the same barrage of bullets made it on their own to the same hospital.
A 28-year-old woman was shot in the right leg, a 31-year-old man was hit in the right leg, a 25-year-old man was struck twice in the right leg, and a 24-year-old man was wounded in the buttocks and left leg.
All four are in stable condition.
It was not immediately clear what sparked the bloodshed.
There have been no arrests.
