Jealousy-crazed Florida man confronts wife's secret lover in fatal encounter
Edgewater, Florida – Love not only drove him insane. Apparently, it turned him into a murderer too.
43-year-old family man Damian DeRousha has been accused of shooting 31-year-old Donald Geno at close range in an auto repair shop on Thursday morning.
The reason: shortly before, DeRousha allegedly found out the latter was having an affair with his wife – and he couldn't let that stand.
As the police announced in a press conference, the man was furious when he went to work. Gino worked in the same repair shop as DeRousha.
Once there, he briefly told his boss he had family matters to attend to before he made his way to the 31-year-old, confronting him with his suspicions and ultimately shooting him.
He then dropped the gun and got back into his white pickup truck to await his arrest.

DeRousha was arrested at the scene and subsequently charged with murder
By the time officers arrived on the scene shortly after 10:30 AM, Gino was already beyond help. He died shortly afterwards at a nearby hospital.
DeRousha was arrested at the scene and charged with first-degree murder, telling police that he "lost his mind" after learning of his wife's affair.
He said he shot the 31-year-old but could not remember how many times. A witness later testified that several shots had been fired – even after the victim was already lying motionless on the ground.
Before he went crazy, he allegedly confronted his wife via text message.
Investigations into the case are still ongoing.
