An unbelievable case of bullying took place in Georgia on Wednesday. Local news station Fox 5 Atlanta reported that older students brutally bullied an 11-year-old on a school bus. Things apparently even got physical.

Dion Murphy, the father of the bullied child was able to watch footage of the incident, captured on the bus's CCTV system, and described it: "One student jumped in his face, he was pushing him against the window, when he fell, the other student took his shoe."

At some point, the boy saw no other way out. "In a desperate attempt to escape [the bullies] he jumped out the window," Murphy continued.

The incident did not have a happy ending, with police informing the TV station that Murphy's son first landed on a moving pickup truck and then fell onto the roadway.

The boy suffered a concussion and a broken elbow.

According to the father, this was not the first such attack. He accused the older boys of bullying his son throughout the school year.

"I recently saw a tape that a girl was hitting on him as well. There's another tape of him being dragged down the aisle, there's more video of the boys from this May 5th situation," the man shared.

"There's more tapes and that's why I'm so upset because the school neglected the bullying act and did not do anything about it. They took it as horse-play, but my son could have lost his life," he added.

According to the father, there were talks with school officials in March, but no concrete action was taken to stop the bullying.

A spokesperson for the district told Fox 5 Atlanta, "The Walton County School District does not tolerate bullying and harassment of any kind. The incident is being thoroughly investigated by school officials and any disciplinary issues that may arise will be handled appropriately at the school level."

The district spokesman did not disclose what specific action might be taken or has already been taken.

The 11-year-old has already changed schools, so hopefully he can now learn in peace at school from now on. "These generations', kids are even killing themselves because they're being bullied," Dion Murphy said.

It seems nationwide anti-bullying campaigns aren't enough when a school chooses to look the other way. This was also the case in March when a mom went to the news after teachers had bullied her son and other students forced him to drink urine.
