It takes guts to be as brave as this New Yorker: In a recent video, a woman who goes by Pikanab on TikTok filmed a creepy and potentially dangerous encounter she intervened in.

In the clip, Pikanab is standing by her car when she sees a girl across the street who looks "really uncomfortable." A man seems to have approached her and started an unwanted conversation.

Pikanab seems unsure and scared at first, but she decides to help the woman because "girls support girls!" She musters up the courage, puts on a face mask, and walks over to the two across the street and starts talking to the woman.

"Hey girl! Girl I was waiting for you in the car! Who's he?!" The unknown man replies that he's "just talking to her."

Then things get really awkward: when Pikanab asks what the two were talking about, the man replies, "Nothing, I just asked her if her toes were long."

"You probably just saved a woman from being kidnapped."

After this bizarre moment, Pikanab quickly reaches out and grabs the girl and the two briskly walk away from the guy, who sounds like he has a very disturbing foot fetish at best.

The TikTok clip of the rescue operation already has more than 35.5 million views and almost eleven million likes, despite only being posted five days ago.

In the comments section, many users are celebrating Pikanab's bravery. "u just probably just saved a girl frim getting kidnapped," wrote one user, who got 218,000 likes for his reply.

But not everyone of is convinced. A few commenters even think that the entire scenario was staged. Pikanab quickly responded to the accusation in a recent video

In it, she says she doesn't care if people believe her or not because "things like this really happen." She also asks, "Can we please normalize helping each other?"

That's definitely a sentiment everyone can get behind.
