Blue Jays fan's proposal prank fails miserably in hilarious TikTok
Toronto, Canada - One Toronto Blue Jays fan's big idea for a marriage proposal to his girlfriend went horribly wrong after he probably overestimated her sense of humor.
The hilarious but cringy moment was caught on video during a match between the Toronto Blue Jays and the Boston Red Sox.
As the woman walks towards her seat, she is stopped by a man believed to be her boyfriend.
He tells her he loves her as he gets down on one knee, leaving her shocked.
But he pulls out a candy Ring Pop instead of an actual engagement ring and things take a turn for the worse.
Giving Will Smith a run for his money, she slaps the mess out of him, yelling, "What the f*** is wrong with you?"
The TikTok posted by user Canadianpartylife has since gone viral with over a quarter of a million views in less than 48 hours.
Real fail or publicity stunt?
The hopeful groom-to-be is reportedly Alexander Korda the CEO of Love Lost Manhattan, the same company that designed the bikini top his "girlfriend" was wearing in the clip.
Many on social media are now speculating on just how authentic the moment actually was, or if it was a publicity stunt. Some even pointed out that the guy may have wanted to make a genuine proposal after the prank.
Whatever the truth may be, take note – if you plan a joke proposal, prepare for the worst.
